Someone who can go into any home on the planet and with humility express sincere and genuine gratitude for hospitality given, no matter how simple or rudimentary; it is someone who realises that everyone has their own ways and that they do what they can with what they have; a person who has no expectation but simply a willingness to adapt, participate, learn and collaborate; someone who realises it is not their place to pass judgement or to criticise others for not being as they are; people with inner strength, who are ‘their own person’, without the need to impress others and able to take life as it come without resentment, anger or bitterness.

It is someone who cares passionately about diversity in peoples and community, who feels deep down that they have a responsibility to protect and nurture human diversity; it is someone who would not stay quiet or still if they saw others maltreated or unfairly dealt with; it is someone who would speak out.

It is someone who feels deeply that we are custodians of this planet, that we have a responsibility to protect the environment and nature; it is someone who is not prepared to stand back and do nothing as others destroy the planet; it is someone who is prepared to take on an individual responsibility to change the world for a better place.

It is that spark inside all of us who weep for the passing of the great whales, the tigers, elephants and orang utangs, for the torture and murder of women , the poor and those discriminated against, and at the exploitation of children, at the destruction of the environment; a spark that waits to be ignited by those with the courage and strength to speak out- EarthAmbassadors.
